The California SIDS Program offers a variety of educational opportunities to professionals involved with SIDS.
Trainings and the annual SIDS Conference promote SIDS awareness, risk reduction, and include current SIDS
research information. Visit our News and Events calendar for
the dates and locations of educational programs.
-
Training:
We offer regional SIDS training sessions at no cost to emergency personnel/first responders and
public health professionals. These educational experiences are geared to the specific target audience and
offer information and resources essential to compassionately and effectively interact and support those
affected by a SIDS death.
-
Annual
California SIDS Conference: The conference is held every October. It is an opportunity for
professionals as well as SIDS parents, family members, and others affected by and involved with SIDS to come
together to learn and network in a supportive environment.
-
SIDS Coordinators
SIDS program health care professionals throughout the state also offer community based educational
opportunities. Contact the SIDS Coordinator in your local health department to obtain more information.

An array of other conferences, training sessions, and
webcasts provide unique opportunities to acquire valuable information and interact with other
