The California SIDS Program has created this section of our website to help professionals such as coroners, emergency personnel, first responders, health care providers, law enforcement officers, and public health nurses to provide services, care, and assistance to families and others affected by a SIDS death.

includes legislatively mandated standardized protocols for conducting and reporting the death scene investigation and autopsy and documenting PHN support services for a presumed SIDS death.
