The California SIDS Program, under the direction of the California Department of Public Health, Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Division, was developed to help the many individuals involved and affected by the sudden unexpected death of an infant The Program's dedicated professionals provide crisis intervention, counseling, bereavement support, educational/informational resources and referral to community services. Education, training, consultation, technical assistance and SIDS risk reduction outreach complement the array of available Program services.
